Fukuoka, Japan – Dr. Prakashini recently participated in the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) Congress held in Fukuoka from September 3rd to 7th, 2025. The prestigious congress brought together leading experts, researchers, and clinicians from across the globe to discuss the latest developments in rheumatology.
Representing original research contributions, Dr. Prakashini presented two posters titled “Iguratimod as a potential disease-modifying osteoarthritis drug (DMOAD): From in silico to in vitro analysis” and “Prevalence and predictors of subclinical sonographic enthesitis in patients with psoriasis: A cross-sectional study.” Both presentations were well received by peers, sparking engaging discussions and opening potential avenues for future scientific collaborations.
Apart from the poster presentations, Dr. Prakashini actively participated in several scientific sessions, gaining key insights from global leaders in the field. She also attended the Digital Health Special Interest Group (SIG) and business meeting, where collaborative projects were outlined to integrate remote monitoring into mainstream rheumatology practice. Such initiatives are expected to play a vital role in addressing the global shortage of rheumatology specialists.
Reflecting on Dr. Prakashini’s participation, the congress highlighted not only the importance of innovative research in osteoarthritis and psoriasis but also the growing role of digital health in transforming patient care worldwide.
